Its awfully hard as a new, unknown blog to keep posting when it feels like there is no one who reads your work. Recently i have noticed that our site traftic has gone from 0 people a day, to 2 people a day. Quite the victory! But beyond that we would love it if you left a comment, or even bookmarked us as your interest would help motivate us to post.

The Mae Shi - HLLLYH
HLLLYH is an interesting album. Some of the songs are amazing: polished, catchy, and musicaly interesting, but then, some of the songs seem unfinished and rough around the edges. I would atribute this disparity to the bands relitive youth, and egerness to be edgey and different. but then, it might just the vouge of the experimental punk scene.
songs to listen to:
1) lamb and the lion
2) yong marks (my favorite song)
3) run to your grave
4) HLLYH

The Three Side of the Cyanide Valentine
This is a great album. songs are interesting and diverse, yet also present a cohesive album. the songs are dark pop with more than a nod towards shoegaze and phychedelia.
honestly you should go download the album now, cause its legally free get it here!
while your waiting for it to download, here are the three songs to check out:
1) kate i'm only freaking / amphetamina
2) sugar coma (opening riff stolen from pink floyd's brain damage)
3) neanderthals
But realy, give the whole album a honest listen. now.

Cold Cave - Painted nails
a short, somewhat good 7-inch that deserves a listen. the songs are no so well recorded, making it harder to understand naturaly fuzzy music. the plus side is the music integrates some interesting styles: its noices music but it uses dance beats, like in the song sex adds, coupled with syth-pop-y syths. the music is interesting and has my curiousity peaked for some of thier other work.
p.s. the myspace has the song "trees grew and emotion died" which is quite fantastic. the 7" for that song can be found here (not my upload_

Amesoeurs - Amesoeurs (2009)
Genre: Black Metal/Shoegaze
I love this album. It's very reminiscent of another of Neige's projects, Alcest, and contains sounds that run the gamut from pop-sounding songs to more traditional Black Metal songs. Definitly listen to this.
